BIOGRAPHY

Mamido is a young and dynamic singer born in the sunny African town of Kinshasa. At a very young age, music had a very important place in her heart. The singing lessons she took at 14 years old lead her to a love for Jazz and Gospel. Her distinctive fresh clear flexible voice became a sought after amenity by the best producers in the French music industry.


Her wide range brought her to work as a back up vocalist and vocal coach for numerous top sells artists in Europe such as Mylene Farmer( Universal music france), Axel Red(Virgine Record) , Mc Solaar(Elektra Records), Pascal
Obispo( Universal Music ), Sylvie Vartan( Universal music), Ophélie Winter (Warner Music Group) , Salvatore Adamo, Laam ( Warner Music Group), Passi(Warner Music Group), Coolio( Tommy boy Ent.), Wyclef Jean (Fugees)
( Columbia Records), Yael Naim (Atlantic Record ), Lynnsha (Warner Music), Marc Cerrone (Columbia Sony Music) and more...
This recognition brought her to collaborate with François Feldman in a 1998 hit entitled « J’aurais voulu te dire » and is still amongst François Feldman’s best success.
Following this adventure, Mamido performed in live shows with Jazz ensembles, Gospel choirs, pop and RnB bands. Her voice was used in different commercials as well ( Coca Cola, Stella Artois, Baygon, Cornflakes, Volkswagen ...).
Since 2001, Mamido has been working in partnership with the very influential Costa brothers, who are the pioneers of over dubbing in France). Thanks to this partnership, she became the official voice for numerous radios such as Ado Fm, NRJ, Sun FM, 2M Maroc and Radio Star Marseille. She also had the privilege to sing in successful Disney movies : Cuzco 2 and the Princess and the Frog. She also appeared in episodes of Phineas and Ferb.
In 2014, Mamido was a standout Finalist candidate in season 3 of The Voice France where she was a part of Garou’s team.
After few years of travelling, learning and soul searching, she has decided to come back to her roots and focus on her very own music. By producing her own album influenced by neo soul, jazz and pop, Mamido wants to share with the world her that she is a singer songwriter to be reckoned with. Full of glamour and wit.
